It's correct if they're registered after March 01 which not a lot of Polo GTi's are.

Mine is a January 2001 therefore £175

Lucky for me then, September 2001 :) . That will be £150. ( still a rip off in my eyes)

Mines a 51 plate, but don't know when the registration started for 51's

If I'm right in thinking the GTi started on a V then the dates are

V - 01/09/1999 to 29/02/2000
W - 01/03/2000 to 31/08/2000
X - 01/09/2000 to 28/02/2001
Y - 01/03/2001 to 31/08/2001
51 - 01/09/2001 to 28/02/2002

Another bonus for me of finding a Y-plater. Mine's a March 2001 so I'll save a few quid a year on tax :lol:
