Placed a deposit on a 6N2 Gti

I'm soon to be the new owner of a gti.
I placed a deposit on one last night.
The usual, run of the mill, reflex silver 3 door, lol, 51 reg, 26k miles - £5,800.
No other extra's that I know of. The car is in mint condition, exceptionally clean. I originally wanted a sunroof, but I have decided I can live without it.
It has had the pedal box recall, but I am concerned about the gearbox/clutch issue, as the car has only done 26k. The gearbox was less notchy than the one in my mk4 glx, and there was no apparent jerkiness in 1st or reverse gear. The clutch pedal movement was not heavy either.
It is a private sale, so no warranty, so I am getting a vehicle inspection for peace of mind, not that the engineer can comment about any gearbox wear without dissambling it !! Any recommendations from experience on a company to use for the inspection?
I just need to sell the Mk4 glx now (see for sale section
), as this will be used to fund the mods.
