Cleaning BMC CDA filter! How do you do it?

Right.
I've had my BMC air filter on for some time now and i'm sure it could do with a clean. Crank case breather one could probably also do with a clean!
So does anyone know how to clean these filters, and what is the best way of doing it?
I don't want to do somet that will end up doing more harm than good!
Cheers in advance, Mat
