Congrats on getting the car
Regarding the Pedal Box recall, best thing to do is ring VW or go to a dealer and ask them to check on the system. If it hasn't been done, then obviously the sooner the better, but I wouldn't lose sleep over driving it.
Enjoy anyway

Shouldn't do as it was a safety recall, and therefore should be performed as if under warranty.

Pedal box recall will be carried out FOC at your local VW dealership if it hasn't been done already - they should be able to recall your car's service history and check it out. As Redline says, don;t worry about it too much and just enjoy the car. Mine drove perfectly before the recall was carried out, and still does today
I agree with you on the comment about noticing the small imperfections as you clean the car, I was the same with mine when I got it home and washed it for the first time!
Nice car mate
Cheers

Car looks good chap, well done.. with regards to the pedal box, mine had'nt been done and got it done last month... it went in for a new key and VW told me it hadnt been done and they booked it in without me even knowing... so youll have no problem... my clutch is much lighter now.. although the bite on mine has always been a bit didgy as you loose the clutch out then it bites and then as you continue to loose it out the bite goes and then it bites again.... dont understand that but whatever!!! good luck with the car!!!!

Your GTi looks really nice! As you have mentioned you will get some bumper smoothed thing to sort the bumper out in July, is there any chance that you can tell me where I can get them from? I am looking for some products to get away those scratches on my car's bumper.

Nice one Alun, glad you're liking the car.
Look forward to seeing it when the bumpers have been done.
