Im seriously thinking about replacing my current 14inch VW alloys with some 16in non VW ones.

I am interested in this 16inch one, which looks like a Replica alloy of a "BBS" design.

I was wondering what you guys thought of it, would it suit my Silver polo 9n?

Well I think they suit my black 9n with the centres black...

So I reckon silver centres on a silver car would look pretty cool

You missed out on my proper BBS ones, they went for a stupidly low price.

They will look good on a silver car, especially with the silver BBS centre caps. 8) Although in my opinion replicas suck, get some proper ones off ebay, there were about 2 other sets on when I had mine listed. Some of them needed a refurb but they were going for under £200.00.

Great pic 90, don't sell it! :D

Definitely get some proper ones. A set off a Bora went on ebay for less than £100 not too long after I'd got mine (paid £200 for them - d'oh!). Doing the refurb isn't that hard (as long as it's only lacquer damage, which it normally is) - follow the guide on here, it's brilliant. Getting the centres painted/powder coated will cost about £100, so for wheels, coating and bits and bobs for doing the refurb you should be looking at well the right side of £400 for a set of full-on genuine BBS spankers with the rims and centres finished exactly how you want them...which is probably as cheap/cheaper than the fakes?

Also, thanks Gary. I don't want to sell it, but I might have to. I'll give it a couple of months in the new job and see how it goes...

Yeah I started looking at proper BBS's but they were definatly too expensive and I dont really have much time to "refurbish" them if I bought it on ebay.

I think am gonna go with these replicas, they dont look too much different from the original BBS RX and its better than the 14" VW alloys I currently have.
