Automatic Torque Biasing Differential

Hello
I'm searching info about Automatic Torque Biasing Differential for Polo GTi. Do You have any info about ATB Differential - QUAIFE, KAAZ for Polo.

dont think you can get one. i look everywhere for one
and a LSD, they only seem to do them for golfs.
you will have to change the gear box to get one.

You have to rebuild the gearbox to fit an LSD in a front wheel drive car, as the diff is integral to to the gearbox.
Why you would ever want one on a FWD car doesn't make sense to me. If it's slipping, it's understeering, so applying more power really isn't the answer, better cornering technicque is.

An LSD makes a lot of sense if your running high power FWD to aid traction off the line as well as cornering. There's only so much you can do without one

i have 270bhp+ going thru my front wheels and it made alot of difference to my car
without my ATB diff it was under steer at every corner i put my foot down on
now with the ATB diff i can put my foot flat down thru a corner and it grips and pulls you thru as its putting the power to the wheel with the most grip = the outside wheel with most of the cars weight on it

the biggest difference you notice with the ATB diff is coming out of bends/ round abouts as you have so much more grip
in a straight line its betta but i still get wheel spin right thru 2nd gear in the dry if i want it too
i aint had it on the strip yet with the diff in
it done a 14.4 quarter-108mph terminal on bald tyres / damp track without the ATB

That's pretty fast for a FWD car
I bet the torque can keep you pinned in your seat for a good while

any luck with this? i sent quafie an email this morning as im after one because hte main prob with the gti gearbox is the diff so if i can get one of these it could solve the prob!

So it only really makes sense if your running something like 170bhp in your GTI?

It would probably still help with 125bhp. But you would notice more difference with greater power (as the potential for slipping is greater)

kz, I am assuming from your signature you have a 9n3 gti? as opposed to a 6n2? Is that correct? If this is correct I would say you would be able to source one and it would be useful once you have fair amount of power to control.

Nope, his car is a 6N2 GTi with a turbo attached! Haven't seen him post on here for a while though.
