Polo Dashboards

Hi
I was wondering if you guys could give me a little help.
I have bought a mk1 Caddy pickup and the dash is knackered and also horrible! I am looking at what I can transplant into it, and the polo seems the easy choice as the golf based cars are too wide.
Could a couple of people measure the width of their dashboards, and also maybe post up a pic. Looking for as modern a dash as I can get, so 6n is the earliest I think I want.... (thats the one after the g40 isnt it?).
