whats the best way to remove superglue

Anyone got any ideas with the best way to remove superglue from paintwork on the car.

Ive tried hot soapy water but no luck there.

Suggestions welcome

Not come across that one before - have you tried WD40 or petrol?

If not what about meguairs Quik Clay?

not tried anything else yet, will have a go tommorow of different suggestions

Sounds nasty. Try some Claybar, dont know if heating it with a hairdryier would help, that loosens some glues.

How did it get there? Where you glueing on a body kit?

I believe you can get something "superglue" specific which will remove the glue. I think they use it to unbond fingers if they get stuck together, so it may well be safe for use on paintwork. Try a decent DIY store and check out the instuctions :wink:

You can actually buy superglue remover, not sure how it would be on a painted surface though. :?

I was removing the 1.6 16v from the boot that the previous owner had stuck on with bloody superglue, (what a prat) she was.

There is this stuff that bodyshops use called panel wipe, it gets most glues off, don't know about superglue like but its worth a shot
