Did VW do headlamp protectors for the 9N? if so I'm after some info on them.
1. How much?
2. How easy to fit?
3. How do they look?
4. Pics?
sorry for all the questions

right i'm pretty sure vw did do headlight protectors for the 9n. there are usually some floating about on ebay and these will be cheaper than buying straight from vw!!
ease of fitting..... fairly straight forward i do believe and they have clips that just slide in around the lights between the lights and bodywork!
probably be expensive-ish from vw
a pair for my ibiza from seat would cost me £35!! i managed to get a pair, albeit with 2 clips missing, from ebay for 99p!

I have them on my 9n, bought them off ebay for £25.00.
Took a while for some to come up as they aren't on there very often for the 9n.
You can't really notice them tbh.
Cheers
Gary.

Yep I got em on mine, however I bought them off a mate, so dont have any suggestions on where to try for em. I tried to get some at Inters this year, as one has broke and looks a bit naff superglued together, but they didnt have any there either
Defo worth having in my opinion, especially with the amount of motorway miles I do
Here's a couple of pics of how they look (from Inters)

To stop a stone or object kicking up and cracking/smashing the headlamp, esp. on motorway driving

They're a very good idea, especially when you've got xenons

I've never seen a broken headlight hitten by a stone. And I leave in Greece who has terrible roads...
For me, waste of money

The headlights are polycarbonate, so the chances of them breaking are 1 in a trillion. However, they do stop the small 'chips' you get on the lenses so they are worth it for that

After deciding to let go of my 2000 (W plate) Polo GTi, I now have a set of the headlight protection masks available. These will fit all models of the 6n polo i believe.
Both in great condition and complete with fittings.
£20 (plus postage)
