The RS 771 is available in a 16" rim (don't know about other sizes too) which does look very similar. Actually, so similar that I can't really tell the difference, especially as you can get RX's in a 16 too! :?

I don't really understand BBS and their weird naming

the BBS' on the polos are RS772s or something like that, they are the 15" version of the ones that came on the mk4 and mk4 cabrio. the bolt pattern on the rim of the RX2s is different. The exact code for the alloy is stamped on the inside of the wheel i think or somewhere around the rim.
