New Lowness!

After being disappointed of the look of my car on 35mm H&R springs, I decided to buy a 60mm suspension kit off mertsham_phil on the forum. I fitted it myself (with a couple of problems down the line!). But I'm happy with the look now.
For those of you who weren't at the GTI festival on Sunday, here's a couple of pictures.
I really recommend the unbranded stuff. It's good quality, and transforms the look of the car. However, I think I need some wheel spacers, since the wheels sit quite a lot inside the arch.

looking good Ollie
nice one
love that colour
i like the rims too be sticking out more too, but if i put spacers on then the tyres and dare say the alloys would be touching the arches hehe.

Yeah, it's had a couple of changes since the Expo, Dan. I also added the vibe CBR12 sub, or whatever it is, just to improve the sounds in my car (since it only has speakers in the front

) And the suspension, of course.

Hi, looks good!
Is that 60/40 or 60/60?

Thanks for the comment. I think it's a 60/40 kit, as the back sits up a bit higher. I may adjust it after it settles, but I'm really happy with the stance now.

Im thinking on getting the same kit, wanted 60/60 all round but after seeing yours may be tempted in having the 60/40 look.
How easy was it to fit? Does it look easy enough to adjust after its on?

To be honest, it was bloody hard to fit it. It was my first time doing this sort of thing. If you don't have any experience of suspension, it'll be quite hard. I'd recommend having a qualified mechanic fit it, as they can do the tracking, camber, and adjust the headlights while doing it. But if you have done this before, it'd be fairly straight forward, as the 6n2's layout is quite simple.
It seems quite easy to adjust, as there are five or six notches in the rear shock, and a circlip slots in to adjust it.

ok brill thanks.
Ill probably get it done by someone who knows what they are doing, ive never done it before, id probably be ok with the springs if it was them on there own but dont fancy doing the shocks too!

You don't have to nick my wheels, Chris

. You can always go up to your local golf 3.5 cabby avantagarde and replace the wheels.
