different from garage to garage really mate, but i would phone up about 5 local vw garages, and banter each others prices at them!

This like an intermediate service - just looked at my 5 year service, it cost about 200 pounds. If its done about 50-60,000 miles suggest you have the timing belt done as a precaution.

Which dealer do you use for servicing in Sussex? Sidlow Horsham are my local, and despite purchasing 2 cars from them, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I don't trust any VW dealer to have done the work they put on the invoice.

Is there a reason why you use a dealer for servicing, most other garages labour rates will be a lot less.

I tend to use http://www.gcsengineering.com/index.html or another local garage.

I do, and have been trying to find a VW specialist, so thanks for the link.

Have been using H&S services up until now, they are just behind the Sidlow garage, and half of their workshop is Sidlow's overflow workshop.
As you drive up, it has VW signs everywhere, and you go round the back, and they charge you half as much !!

The guys name is Pete, good bloke. Quoted £220 + VAT for Cambelt, tensioners & water pump.
