High Performance Clutch

Does anyone know if a High Performance clutch on a Polo GTI will resolve the gearbox and "stiff" or "slacking" clutch issue? Would the clutch make the car a lot faster and would it last longer than the original? Or, is the original more or less the same?
If so, does anyone know whereand which one I could purchase?
Thanks![/b]

an uprated clutch will more often than not be stiffer than standard. i had the pleasure of driving a Supra with a ceramic clutch and it was VERY hard work

I'm assuming the clutch could last longer, as it's meant to cope with more power. If your power output is low (as in, normal) than I can imagine it would last longer. In all fairness, a clutch could last the car's lifetime, so most people buy these things strictly to cope with higher power and torque figures. It wont make the car faster in and of itself. It could *perhaps* get rid of some slipping clutch...
