Based on my experience (in no particular order):

Good Points

- Fun to drive.
- Hold onto their value.
- Relatively cheap to run.
- Looks awesome with a bit of subtle modding.
- Good sized boot and room in the back for 2 adults.
- Lots of useful cubby holes.
- Excellent fuel economy.

Bad Points

- The odd rattle and knock.
- Could do with a bit more power (ok double).
- Too many old men/women driving them.

That's all I can think of at the moment, it's always a good sign when the good points outway the bad points! 8)

It will be interesting find out what other people think.

The good-

*Economical
*Holds it’s value well (especially the 1.9 TDI models)
*TDI models very tuneable
*Plenty of room inside and a decent sized boot
*Well built exterior
*Decent standard stereo system
*Can look really good with minimal mods
*Sports model seats comfortable and supportive

The bad-

*Dull to drive
*Handling is poor
*Interior is a bit dull too much black plastic
*Niggling faults with the sports model suspension
*Expensive to service (as to be expected with any German car)
*Interior quality a bit hit and miss, a few rattles here and there (not as well built as my old MK3 Golf GTI)
*The paint can scratch easily which is surprising for a VW
*After sales customer service is poor

The good and bad are pretty even for me but I think it all comes down to what your looking for in a car and everyone’s opinion will probably be different. The handling and how tuneable it is wont matter to some but to others it will be important. For me the Polo is a bit too ‘grown up’

I recently drove a Honda Jazz and I would say apart from the looks it’s a better car than the Polo but I wouldn’t buy one. I would recommend the 9n to anyone but personally wouldn’t buy one again even the GTI cup version doesn’t float my boat (though it does look superb).

Well that's what you get when you're vague about things! I initially saw this with no posts last night and thought exactly what the others have put down.

I'd say colour code the black bits, on the side and on the bumpers.

What is it anyways??

And to who ever said that Polo's get's excellent fuel economy.... well LMAO!!
