If u are looking to put it straight on the inlet manifold you have buy one designed for the car, universal ones are always too wide and interfere with the accelerator cable.

ok i have 1 and its the panel K&N filter and it was off a saxo coz they have the same width in diameter of the throttle body but it is a universal filter and i have no problems wit the accelration cable, the only thing that touchs that is the oil air flow pipe which connects on2 the filter aswell but u can buy a serpeeate filter for that an place it out of the way buut as i said i havnt had a problem
by havin this u engine bay looks bare, i wud recommend gettin an induction kit as it looks much betta but my mate gave me this so i was happy enuf

well u can buy just the filter from the induction kit an place it on2 the original pipe that comes out from the airbox bcoz usually wen u buy an induction kit i think they give u a pipe aswell if its a specific 1 2 look sporty. but the filter costs like 25quid

you can pick up a cheap performance filter off ebay or any motor store from around £12 upwards
this is how i done mine
and by-passed the manifold tubing to a direct cold air feed to keep the manifold cool/throw the hot air out when sitting idle

looks well, i like the idea of the filter coming down the side.

thats the way the inductions sit man, dwn like that, and RR Livi did u cut a hole in ur front panel just so that tube cud sit in it 2 keep the manifold cooler?? it looks 2 be a great idea an i may do that my self

Yeh i think im gna do that after i have my shower lol. Did you have to cut anything??
That filter box looks schweet! did you have to sue any perticular paint or did you just use normal car paint??

@polo boi - the front panel is only light fiberglass so its easy to cut - it keep the manifold cooler and stops the heat going into the induction, when sitting idle it blows the hot air out the front grille

instead of the induction getting it all lol
@LeMeph - i used the biggest drill piece i could get and drew around the corrigated pipe to cut to size then just drilled around but in the circle area, then worked around the hole to keep it all even
the airbox was done with just normal car paint - any car wholesaler can supply you half a litre for around £16
little things like a wirebrush on the engine head came out well aswell
