If the dash has been taken apart before, there is a good chance it wasnt put back together properly. This is a common cause of rattles
Or it could just be down to poor design

probably havnt put it back together properly, it's useless complaining tho theyll probably lie and try and charge you
If you want a job doing properly, do it yourself

Just go there with the receipt and kick up a fuss, if that doesn't work try calling VW Customer Care.
