I've just bought some LED sidelights, gonna have to get VW to fit them though when it goes in for it's service because the bumper has to come off.
I've also got LED side repeaters and should be taking delivery of some LED's for the rear indicators and brake lights tomorrow

what kind or LED sidelights?
i heard that the standard plastic ones could melt from the heat of the main beam bulb?

I never really use main beam having Xenons, but they're these ones

If you use them on your rear indicators, they will flash too much as the resistance will be too little

I'd have thought the rear indicators would be exactly the same as the side repeaters?

Your side repeaters should come with special resisitors to stop this happening if you are replacing the whole unit, if its just the bulb, then no

All I replaced was the side repeater bulb and it flashes fine, didn't add any resistors or anything.
Wouldn't want it any slower or faster.
Once the others turn up, I'll report back.

Well, odd, if you see here, they even do kits to stop indicators flashing fast:

There can be issues with them flashing too fast but judging by my side repeaters the rears should be fine.
