If you take the parts number into your VW garage to order them then they should be able to tell you when you're doing that.
Incidentally, can the W8 light cluster be fitted easily to cars with the basic single lamp unit? Mine's a base-spec 'E' model.

Sadly not. Most things are covered in detail in other threads however.
