I brought this car in November 2005, because of my ridiculas insurance quotes and the fact I hadnt passed my test (have now), it hasnt been driven yet. But this gave me chance to do some work on it.

When I brought it _ £550

First thing was to short out the exhaust, which was knocking on the body and under the car. Instead of wasting time with the old one, I got a new one and fitted that.

I wanted to clean my engine bay up abit, so I got my rocker cover sand blasted and my filter cap polished. I made a stencil and sprayed my rocker cover. I also cleaned the bay alittle as well.(I will probly end up sparying the rocker cover black, it just seemed fun at the time.)

After this was fitted, I took the Bumpers off. I know some people like the look of the old grey bumper, but I really didnt like them, so I sprayed them black. If anyone is thinking of doing this, dont waste time with the spray paints "designed for bumpers". I found that Hammerite Smooth works great. Since I have put them on, they have had to withstand all types of weather, HOT Sun, Cold, Rain & Wind, and they are still fine.

After spraying my bumpers, the next thing was new wheels. It took me ages to find wheels. Thanks to "Ste B" for his help. I picked these up off ebay.

(A "bit" of griding was in order for the sexy new wheels)

Then, Lowering was next, I got the shocks and springs off ebay to lower it 60mm. I was purely doing it for cosmetic reasons, and maybe alittle for handling. But it was a good job that I changed them becuase the shocks that were on were completely shot.

(Rear stance baby! Also, black Bumpers...)

So, really not much more to do.

I then got some German number plates, and I have had this "AA" in waiting for a long, long time. I wanted to put it on when ever thing was completely finished, but..... So only a few minor things to do now. I'm missing one peice of Chrome trim from under my driver door, so if you can help me?
(Sorry, battery was on charge)

Let me know what you think?
Cheers

One of the nicest examples of a MK1 I have ever seen there, liking the subtle mods as well.
