VW sent me a letter about the new Golf GT. Its got two stickers.

One says "my other car is a tree hugger's Dream" and the other "My other car is a road-legal rocket"

Anybody else get it?

Pretty clever marketing idea, showing both sides of the new engine's character

I got something from VW delivered to my parents house, not picked it up yet though could be that.

I'll stick them on my Lupo and g40

Presumably VW raid their database looking for potential VW owners and simply fire the marketing stuff out to them

Sometimes it is limited to certain dealers - in January 05 my local dealership, Inchcape, held a track day at Oulton Park for the launch of the then-new mk5 Golf GTI, it was great

not sure, guessing it's being on a mailing list maybe becuase of buying a few cars from them? or from test driving.

The dealership I bought mine from tried to phone me the other day, I had no signal, but get a text saying I've missed a call.

I got my dad to phone them for me because I couldn't be arsed, they just wanted to say that if I wanted to change cars because I've had it a year then they'd do me a good deal on p/x or something.

Don't think p/x my GTi against a brand new R32 would help much though

they are a bit rubbish because they are stickers and you cant put them in your windows.
