Well in the middle of selling my car,some T**t crashed into me causing more damage than what i expected??the vaule of the damage come to a whopping £5382.

In the mean time the car was been held in storage at Bristol Street in Newcastle. The insurance guy went out to view the car and i was offer £5300.

The next morning the gentleman from Bristol Street rang me to say that the car was a write off and there were coming to collect it, and did i have anything vauable in the car i need. i said yes my sound system,the gentleman said we may be able to get it out for you and said we will ring you back to keep you up-dated.

About 2mins later the phone rang,it was the gentlman form Bristol Street,saying that the car has been broken into over night in there own compound.The whole centre console had been yanked out and my sound system nicked!!!!! gutted

Bad enough that you've had your GTi written off, but then to have the ICE nicked just takes the biscuit ... are you covered for the ICE as well as the car?

Must have been quite a shunt in the accident, I see your airbags have deployed

I'd be going mental at the place if it was me, see where you stand as regards to the audio.

Once the car is on their premises I should imagine it's their responsibility.

Does sound a bit suspicious to me though, you tell them you want to get your audio out, they tell you they'll do it and it just happens to get broken in to. Smells a bit fishy to me

Cant you take the insurance money and also pay to have the car back??

My thoughts exactly - i'm sure they would have CCTV at their place. I'd ask to view it. Find out if they reported the break in the police...etc
