i sold mine in that model and colour yesterday  Lovely car mate, i think the alloys suit it well, you just need to sort out those rear lights, smoked hella's would look good imo and their a doddle to fit. Not a fan of racing seats normally, but think yours suit it.

Yea mate, rear lights are next. But first I want to sort out all the niggly parts of the body work. And another prob has just cropped up. where I have taken the bump strips off, there are white lines that I can't shift! So I shall either have to go to a body shop of fit more bump strips :? I shall get mk5 gti 5 door ones if I have to :) but would rather not. I have tried T-cut Paint renivator and polish yet nothing has really touched it :(

Any suggestions welcome.

Where can I get MK5 GTI 5 door bump strips from? I've taken mine off but I have water damage to the paint so time to cover up again

With regards to the lights I think what Jays Euro Stylee did looked really good, with the rear passener side light was German so it had no reverse light. That looked really good. Nice car by the way.

JUst a thought, have you considered getting it valeted because I know you said that you've tried everything you could think of, but their equipment will be better and may be a cheaper way of getting it sorted.

all they are going to try is to mop the paint. I have 3 or 4 tiny spots of rust that I also want done before winter kicks in. last one I left I made a right mess

Its awesum when you pick it up, and they've sorted all the little bits. When i picked up mine it looked better than I've ever seen it since I've had it.

Not sure if it is going to be completely mopped But I may ask :D am looking forward to having it done. I hate rust, really gets me down coz you know if you don't have it done. It's goodbye car.
