Need help fitting BMC CDA

Trying to fit it just now but encountering a few problems....

- The breather filter I got won't fit. It's exactly the same diameter as the crankcase breather pipe itself. I noticed when I look inside the breather filter connection, there are two other diameters. Are you ment to cut it or have I just got the wrong breather filter full stop?

Same diameters:

The filter itself:

- Also, which connector do I use to connect to the RHS of the CDA?

Each connector has a large diameter on one side which are both the same size, and a smaller one on the other (but are both different as shown in the pic). Now is it the big diameter that goes in the hole and the smaller one to the RHS of the CDA (and if so which one?). Or is it one of the two smaller diameters? I've tried every single combo and none really fit convincingly.

Help much appreciated!

For the breather you could use copper pipe and use it as a connection or buy a forge coupling piece (but they aint that cheap)

For the Bmc take the bottom of the air box off and join the rubber bend straight to the throttle body!! easy and looks better!!

Can't remember exactly how the breather pipe filter went on mine, I'm sure Prash will help clear things up if he sees this thread - must have been a coupler of some description! I will take a look in the morning for you, car is in the garage at the moment and there isn't a lot of space for working in! :?

And yeah, the original airbox on my car has been completely removed, do the same with yours and you'll have no trouble at all fitting up the BMC

Cheers

We never used any when mine went on  but jubilee clips are your friends (if needed)

superglue !? :P

We used one of these on Si's car: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ ... de=GLOHI13 can't remember the size i'm afraid but fitted nicely, and then secured with a mini jubile clip on the filter pipe. Like Moynas says you could get some copper piping as a cheaper option :)
