Hi,
I'm sure you can't actually remove the mirror switch on it's own, you'll need to remove the door panel also. First, remove the door lock operating knob (should simply unscrew) and then you prise out the handle centre panel (where your big arrow on right is pointing to) using a screwdriver (with cloth behind so as not to scratch anything) then remove the two screws that you will then see. Then there is a screw at the front of the trim panel (on top left hand side out of shot as per your pic); you then have to prise out the window switch (carefully) and disconnect wiring plugs, noting where all the connections fit. Then carefully release the door panel studs and ease the panel away from the door. Why do you want to do this? To get behind the panel? :?
Hope this helps anyway!

its possible without taking the door card off! as that is alot of hassle believe me!

just pull the inside door lever and pull it out using your fingertips, don't be afraid to be firm with it.

if your on about the outer edge of the door handle, the bit left when you remove the grab handle cover and control switch... then you cannot remove this without first removing the door card...

reason being: its screwed to the door card from behind

after fitting new speakers and having window problems I can now get the door cards off in under 5 minutes due to having so much practice lol

I agree with inder, you need to unscrew it from the back, i had to do this with mine.

on my 1.0 they can be both prised off trust me, no screws holding either of the bits highlighted that you want off.
i know because i colour-coded both bits, maybe its different for other models?

Pulling off the red bits without unscrewing will cause serious damage,

i see what you mean now!
why would you want those bits off anyway? you'd be damaging the door card

That bit is clipped in place and held with one screw, if you look on the underside in the middle, you will find one torx screw, remove it

then its clipped around the edge and is a real pain to remove, but should unclip all the way around
