Does anyone know where I can get a GTI badge from with the red I? I've phoned the main dealer and they only got them in chrome, no good to me. It's got to be a GRILLE badge aswell, I can get the stick on ones no problem. Cheers guys

Try either eBay, or VAGparts mate. I think that VAGparts charge Â£8.80 inc. delivery? Could be cheaper on eBay, possibly!

What is the difference between the two, is it something to do with ARC and ARY engines ?

No difference at all matey, the vast majority of Polo GTis will have chrome GTi badges with a red 'i', regardless of spec or engine

Unfortuantely no, the all red came on the very early models of the Polo GTI and the dealers don't stock them anymore.

I once left a note on a Polo GTi with the all red GTI badging offering money for them but he contacted me and said that he was keeping them...bummer!

my GTI is a V reg and i got the all red GTI badge.
i did actually loose my red i when i was washing it but my mates TDI is now a TD and im happy

The review in a copy of Autocar I've got, from May 2000, features a red Polo GTi on a V plate with red GTi badges - all-red badges must have been only on the very earliest cars, so quite rare by all accounts!

You can get them from VW, unless they've now stopped doing them, I got one from them a while back.

I saw today that there is a V-plate GTi at my local dealership on the forecourt with all-red GTI badges

I have a brand new set of silver and red GTi badges, still in the VW plastic bags, in my glovebox

What are the chances of someone at the dealership giving me the red badges in exchange for the brand new silver and red ones, plus cash...
