Hi,
Have had a cheap CD player fitted in my car for about 3 weeks now after replacing the radio cassette and know I have missed something because as soon as I take the key out of the ignition, all the memory of radio stations disappears, meaning I have to search for a station everytiome I get in the car. Does anyone know what I need to do to solve this problem?
Also, I have been offered a twelve inch sub and amp to get some more noise on the go. Anybody willing to say how hard this is to fit?

Thanks for any help,
GingerGogs

try swapping the ignition and live wires over eg. usually live is red and ignition is yellow in which case try red to yellow and yellow to red. 8)

If u get an amp, i think this should remember what stations, also will remember what song and where abouts u were in the song. I'm no expert tho, this may only be with some headunits and amps. I have a JVC headunit with a JBL sub and amp. (i was like u before tho)

As for the sub and amp, Its pretty easy to wire together if u can get a diagram of the net or somthing to help u. I just couldn't find out how to wire the amp to the battery due to the good german build quality of the polo, and ended up drilling a small hole to the engine bay (although u can feed it through with the other wires).

hope this helps mate

same thing happened to me, the wires are the wrong way round. Its just a case of plugging them in different. Mines just a normal mp3 cd radio with ISO connection, but the red and yellow wires are wrong for the polo. It needs to be red > yellow (battery) and then yellow > red (acc) rather than red > red and yellow > yellow. Just unplug and plug them in

CONNECTION : red > yellow (battery 15a)
CONNECTION : yellow > red (acc)

You can only plug out those wires and they have a plug bit on to do so, so theres no special knowledge required etc.

Hope that helps
