Skoda Fabia fascia drawer - does it fit the (n?

Hi all,
been checking some old (2000-ish) magazines and I've noticed that high-end Fabias come (or used to come) with a pretty handy in-dash drawer (complete with what appears to be one of those smooth, dampened VAG opening mechanisms) that sits right below that car's radio.
That got me wondering if I could fit one of these in lieu of that cubby space right below my DIN radio.
Does anyone have any info on this?
