Just bought my new GTI (pics will hopefully be up at the weekend after I give her a wash!). Absolutely lovely car and great fun to drive, although I noticed the clutch bite point is quite high, is this a characteristic of the car or would a new clutch make it a bit lower as I was considering a new clutch fairly soon anyway?

the bite point is quite high but if its really high it can be a sign of a clutch being on it's way out

u can adjust the clutch on the top of the gear box where the cable attaches to the fork. 10mm and 13mm spanner is all u need

Thanks for the tips! Will probably ask them to check the clutch at the next service, just to make sure its not on its way out!
