in China ,polo 9n has 3 comfort systems which are 6q0 959 433g(3 doors) ,433h(5doors) and 433f(5doors with remote control).
i don't know whether the polo in UK has remote contral or not.
if not , it it easy way to upgrade.

only need change 433g or 433h to 433f.
plus a remote ctrl key . then use 1552 to match them.

coding the 433f to 00258, that is press unlock once then the driver side door lock open. twice then the other lock open
coding to 00259 .that is press once then all door locks open.

Morning,

I have spoken to a Dealer about this and they have looked at me as if I'm mental!

Can you explain how to set the function on vag-com or 50-51 machine?

I already have remote locking, but I know allot of people on here lust after it!

Thanks,

Nelson

vag-com (what i use):
enter 46 : coding to 00258 or 00259
then in channel 10:
00 reset all the remote key
01 match the remote key
02 auto lock (after 20km/h center locking on)
03 auto unlock (drop the key from car, center locking off )

You shouldn't need to as you already have remote locking.

Anyway, for more info on VAG-Com visit http://www.vag-com.co.uk/

This would be a great thing to get on my car as I have central locking but not via remote :/

Do we think we could get a newbie esque walkthrough on how you would go about getting the key and setting it up on the car? I have to say that a lot of what is being said in this thread goes waaaay over my little head :(

@ Clawz

The key you'd have to order through your VW dealership. Or there is a company upt' North called 'Keys 4 U' you can provide genuine VW Keys for about 60% cheaper than VW dealerships. You'd need to phone the VW dealership and get your key number though.

Will carry on this post tomorrow, got to be up for work early! What I will say is this ain't really a cheap mod! :(

I was still unsure as to how this would work or how I could get remote locking / unlocking done with an official flick out VW key etc... If anyone can offer any more information on how I would do this then it would be GREATLY appreciated.
