New Clutch Fitted

Just picked up my GTI having has a new clutch fitted and a 20k service (£350). It really feels like new car again. If anyone is in any doubt about getting a new clutch fitted, I would fully recommend getting it done as it has totally transformed the car. Smooth pick up, easy gear change and really light under the foot. I couldn't get the recommended Sachs kit but ended up with a ALUK kit which I can fully recommend.

Wow 20k, thats good.
I just had a standard clutch fitted when the gearbox decided to go, and its amazing how light it feels!

It's the 3rd 20k service, I wish it was the first

Getting the clutch done has got to save a little grief on the gearbox (fingers crossed).

A local specialist who used to be a VW technician. The £350 included a major service (brake fluid, pollen filter semi synthetic oil etc etc..). He commented that who ever (local main dealer) last worked on the gear box managed to round off some of the bolts. Paying premium main dealer prices doesn't guarantee the best service as I have found to my experience and cost.
