ok work has started on my mk1 today and its an ongoing thing called "project Docile"

Just got it back from the garage and its now in the weeds thanks to a philj kit and lowering caps for the front as they always sit high and has a light (895cc) engine.

Also got the clutch cable done as it snapped whilst getting it on the ramps!

Naff pics i know but its the best my pony camera will create right now in the dark.

This is how she looked until today

Still got to fit the NOS chrome bumpers but i need the brackets first (unless somebody tells me the original brackets will work)

Will prob keep the mudflaps for a short while as i quite like em, not sure on the rear fog light though, will probably come off when i fit the chromies.

figot tyres on the alloys today but cant be arsed to fit them tonight (think i need longer bolts too) so wont be on for no-rice tomorrow

Ok the rims are now on - Heres the pics

The white stuff on the tyres is the stuff they put on when fitting tyres, just not cleaned them up yet

I know the wheels arent to everyones taste but i like them so f**k it.

They will be refurbed and perhaps a new colour when the salt is off the roads next year.

The rears scrub particularly the drivers side cos im fat so the rears are going to be raised a notch this week hopefully.

Got some chrome bumper brackets now to fit my NOS items but the hunt continues for a set of end caps........

very quickly turning into a loveable show car. Stance is just right, I take it theyre 7s on the front and 8s out back?

There are usually a few end caps going on german ebay. You want to be searching for "STOßSTANGENECKE"

Cheers fella for the ebay.de help!

They are 7's all round

Same offsets all round and no spacers?

Must be an optical illusion... or my dodgy eyes, but they look wider at the back - especially in this pic

they are slightly different on the rear but it must be the offset as they are all 7's
