There's only about 50kg's worth Chris so it won't be too bad.

aw thats ace man, i think through the advice you've givin me, i'm gonna go for very similar products...as you know tom, i'm a complete noob to the ICE side of things, so......

The 2 amps, the big one for the sub, smaller for the components?? The components??? front door speakers i take it?

Does the quality of the wiring matter??

Whats the story with 6x9's anyway. Are you upgrading the GTI's rear speakers? My model doesnt have the rear speakers, so i stuck in 6x9's since i was getting no music in the back! But i have heard that these can actually be quite s**t for a decent install!!..........so now what, what can i go for so i can even up the base in the back......or will components in the front, sub in the boot be the right combo???

And oh yeh, will that affect your batter? you upgrading that??
How thick do i sound!!!!!

I'm not upgrading the battery, hopefully it should be ok, only time will tell

6x9's seem to have a big for and against debate with them, although most people on Talk Audio seem to say forget them.

As for rear speakers, I'll be keeping them just because they're in there, but they'll be run off the H/U

Components are the front door speakers yeah 8)

Quality of the wiring can I'm led to believe make a difference but I'm not overly clued up on that.

A decent set of Components and a sub should be fine for what you want I should imagine.

@mbh69

Yep, was a Blade Ice special 8)

Even got myself an RE SR12 for my room.

Wow, that gear is fapping lovely, Tom 8) It looks very pricey, judging from the Blade ice website, but it looks amazing.

Let's just say I didn't pay the prices on the website Ollie

I'm hoping it should all be in by the next meet.

God dam! i want that stuff!! Basicly i'm gonna need the sub, the amp, the componants and all the appropriate wiring! How much is that likely to set me back....8" sub mind??

Would i be fine powering the sub and componants off the 1 amp since its just an 8"??

You buy the stuff tom, so you get it uber cheap and i can give you the cash for it

Gonna start asking for this stuff from santa i think!

US Amps is an expensive brand mate in all honesty, if you haven't got a big budget then a different brand may be better.

As for recommendations on kit to get (apart from the sub if you're happy to go with RE) I'd ask on Talk Audio tbh.

Just say you know what sub you want but need amp(s) components and wiring, and the guys will deffo be able to recommend you something to fit your budget 8)

nice lol
wiring is very important
don't forget to upgrade the big 3 under the bonnet ;)
i'm running 3 runs of 0 guage in mine
a single run on yours with the big 3 done should be ok though i'd be carefull without the engine running
just get the biggest bosche silver top that'll fit in for a cheap battery upgrade ;)

I'll only ever crank it when the engines running 8)

I've got a Brax to keep an eye on the voltage as well.
