Can anyone clear up a question i get asked every time someone gets in my car: Whats with the 1's on the seats?

ther was a post about this before lol i dont think any1 really knew but someone said it was something to do with it being a racey gti and number 1 meaning pole position an all that

Each Polo GTI were individually numbered, it looks like you were the lucky one to have the very first, mine was 1111th in the production line as I have four 1s, one on each of the seats...

i have put up a post about this before and i also asked a few mates at my local dealership and they dont no either. i dont think we will ever no
