I have got a X reg Gti,

i have a friend who has just had some person smash into the back of his Ibizi Turbo. He has been given good money back from the insurence, and also managed to get his smashed car back. He said i can have the engine and box for a good price if i wanna do a conversion.

I was just wondering how easy it is to do a conversion on the Polo GTI, is it worth having a go myself or taking it to someone like Jabba and asking them to fit the engine. Exhaust is another issue but i guess i can just get someone like longlife to make me one.

Will the engine fit right in or is there major modifications needed to the bay?

I have seen a Lupo GTI built by Jabba with this engine in so it must be possible

Any information on this would be a great help.

It's been covered on here loads of times. It's quite a big job, but the final product will be rewarding
