mk5 had slightly rolled arches.
i think 15" suits the mk4, well thats what I had anyway

Depending on the fitment and offset, 16's go on a treat.
In my oppinion, 15's suit the mk4 best and 16's suit the mk5 best. Only certain 17's look ok on a mk5 but it almost always looks like a 4x4!

i would go with 16s myself. less chance of rubbing and you can also lower the car alot more without the 4x4 look of 17's

Well thats not true, because the majority of folk have said go for 16's. Ithink a good mix of dish and size is best

i got a set of seventeens off rich,,, as he said and i have never had any problems with arches or what not. the ride is alot smoother than my 16's (black ones) and mine is lowered 60mm. but as said above people have different tastes and i like those wheels and also it differ with offsets but yeah no arch work whatsoever!
