I started them today, havent got loads done but cant really do anymore until my speakers come 2moro.
Here's what they look like so far -
and this is something what they'll look like when they're done. Obviously going to do a bit of work hiding the orange tube but you get the idea.
Going for the as flush as i can get look as i really don't like they way they look when they're at a crazy angle. Might not direct the sound quite as well but I'm happy to compromise.

Got my speakers this morning. Fitted the speaker to the pod and fitted the tweeter to the pocket. Also trimmed the top of the tube so that it can go back further and now they sit pretty much flush.
All that's left to do id fit the crossover box on each pocket and secure the tubes to the door. I think im just going to spray it all black, maybe the cage for the speaker too as im not fond of the silver with all the black.
Here they are in vibrant colours -

Cheers mate, The tube is 6".
It's pretty much a perfect match for the cages for 5.25" speakers. It's from B&Q and it says its 110mm but the vernier caliper says differently... Was something like £3.48 for about 40cm

Nearly finished now. Pretty happy with the shape so just a bit more filling and flatting to do then spraying and putting back together.
I'l put up some more pics when its done.

All finished. Not fitted the crossovers yet but they'll be hidden behind the speakers. All sprayed up and stuff now...
