I've got a professional boot build for my old polo which i reckon will fit right in (without the cd changer). Does anyone know how to remove the changer from the boot? does it involve taking off the bumper?
Also do standard round tweeters fit in the front? I cant seem to get the plastic covers off them? along with the standard door components? theres a chance i'm being a bit too careful....

To remove the cd changer, there are 2 screws on the top one either side of the changer, remove them, then remove the metal cover .The the cd changer should slide out, if it doesnt budge use a little force. Unclip the cable at the bottom then your just left with the bracket. Thats in with 3 nuts just remove them and the cage will come straight off.
Hope this helps,
Not to sure about the tweeters,id amagine there standard

You have to remove the door cards to get the tweeter covers off.

There are two large skrews which are inside of the door handle. You will need to remove the door handle cover with a flat edged tool to prevent damage. There is a further small cross head skrew on either the front or rear edge of the door card. Remove these three and the door locking pin and the door card should unclip with some gentle persuasion. Take care as you don't want to damage any of the clips. Once off you will see any electrical connectors which can be unclipped if you wish. Once removed you will see a cross head skrew which holds the tweeter cover on, it should then unclip.

when you say door handle i assume you mean the plastic part you hold onto when in the car??? the part that is covered in a stupid material that gets scratched easily?

Thats the part. The centre part comes away from the handle itself. You will also have to pull the chrome handle outwards as you remove the door card. It really is easy just take your time.

yeah i managed to seperate it slightly from the bottom with a flat head screw driver but it doesnt seem to want to budge, where abouts is the clip that holds it in place?

If you've got all the screws out correctly, then it should just pull off from the bottom.
You do have to use a bit of force, and it tends to sound like you've just snapped all the clips but it won't do.
