I heard they will be selling for £500 in the UK when they're released and games will be around £80! Just heard it from a mate tho.

rather wait a year, cheaper price for console and hopefully the games! Plus there will be more games!

The machines (consoles) are actually very good and well worth the price tag.
Infact and this is from an official psp/ps3 magazine the price sony are selling their consoles at doesnt cover the price it cost for all the components, putting it together etc.
Which for those of you in the know isnt that uncommon in the console world.
Sony will make so much on royalties, long term profit and games etc that this isnt an issue for them, and also is good news for us
I dont reckon they are gonna be that much better than the 360, only noticable things are blue ray, tilt control system and wireless internet wherever and the famous SONY name, like the ps2 everyhouse will end up having one !!! playstations always rule !!!!

The only reason i will probably end up buying a ps3 is because of GTAIV which i can't wait for. When is the ps3 due for release here?

my mate has a jap spec one... it's pretty damn good, but then im biased as Im a ps guy and dont get on with xbox brick controllers...
I'll probably end up getting it sooner or later but I'll actually try and resist as I don't play any sort of computer games any more and I know it will just sit there collecting dust.

I hear the ones out in the far east and america are not locked. Usually you have to get you playstation chipped to play games from other countries but its not the case at the moment.
