We used to use them when marshalling enduros, until we went over to license-free PMR a couple of years ago.

I use em for convoying to meets/shows..much better than flashing lights to get attention of mates in other cars..also use on for green laning.

I have just upgraded and have a small midland with digital channel readout for sale £25

Cheap pair of PMR's work just as well, you can got a pair for £30, stick em on voice activated and clip it on your visor.

The fun police can't have a go at you for not having a license either.

Explain this PMR business.

Right now i have a choice, K&N induction or CB/PMR radio.

Any thoughts, for my 1.2 9N, i gonna get much from a induction kit, i want it, but i dont really know why. Ive heard they make a nice sound.

Cheap, license free, handheld radios. 1-2 mile range, nothing flashy.

Saves having a really out of place 6 foot aerial on your roof and finding somewhere inside to fit your unit.
