Tail Light Tinting Spray

What is the tail light tinting spray like?

I want the polos rear lights to look all red rather than have that ugly orange indicator at the side of each wing.

Will it look crap or if your careful can you get good results?

I can't justify spending a lot of money to get the 16v lights or Mk5 lights

mate i'd go for a set of the red lights, the spray tint never looks right, try traynors or quiggs their numbers will be in the breakers section of the autotrader, they'll be able to sort you out with a set of red lights

Good to see another NI polo on the go, even if my isn't!! LOL!!

How you know I was in Northern Ireland?

Anyway I will get them in autotrader?

What do I look for a 16V stoved up the front or something?

you would have more chance getting the Mk5 red lights than the 16Vers, can get the telephone numbers in the breakers section as they always advertise in there. Knew ur in Downpatrick cos of the bit under ur name telling where you're from!!

From Ballymoney myself studying in Belfast and working on getting my polo back on the road, after I stripped it for spraying and the sprayer messing me about

Very Smart Sherlock - I hope they don't mess you around too much.

What have you got done / doing to your PoLow?

Problem now is fitting the bast**ds.

Cheers for your help - dunno what to do with the spray now?

Throw the spray in the bin  how much did you pay for it?? could try selling it on jon44w.com or reallymeansounds.co.uk local car modifiers.

Not bad for the lights by the way, if you want I could send you a pic of my wiring at the weekend when I get home, and if you need a hand I'm in Belfast during the week, so call up some time, I'll mail you my number with the pics of the wiring. Should also be a how-to on this somewhere either on here or porka.net.

My polo has undergone a few body mods, audi TT handles, audi TT fuel cap and a few other bits and bobs, all it needs now is to be sprayed!! Been about a year now since it was in a fit state to be driven :(

Guys,

there's not a proper how-to just yet, but this thread is the next best thing:

Got the lights last night, goinna start on THursday when im off work, all the wires are already cut and looks easy enuff to get those babys in.

Goina try and get them sitting flush with tailgate though!

And I need to look at that wiring again as the lights are different.

When you look at the mk5 light there is one large block connector in the middle and others at the top and bottom, what are these for? THey didn't come with connectors!

The one at the top has two pins and the one at the bottom has three.

The main one in the middle has I think 5 wires including large brown earth wire

Perhaps for the Japanese-spec model... I haven't a clue where they are for really.
