Thinking of getting some 8x15's on an "imaginary" Polo 9N

I know that the TDI sports have 15 inch wheels as standard - what is the original tyre size for these and would they squeeze onto a 7 inch or 8 inch wheel? I'm guessing they're something like 185's and probably not!

otherwise what would you recommend I get in terms of tyres? for both 7 inch and 8 inch wheel options? I am planning on making the thing very low.

I have the orininal sport rims and the tyre size is 195/55

hmm, 195's may well fit on 8x15's - I know it's not the normal thing to do with euro rims but it could be the best option to start with.

are they 5.5" wide?

Nope, 195mm or ~7.8"

My sport has 205/45 16

David , they are 6x15" rims on sport models

so the standard tyre could _just_ squeeze onto an 8x15 with some stretch.... hmm interesting

out of curiousity, which wheel are you putting on your polo?

I'm hoping to put the compomotive th-monos on it. when I find the car and buy the wheels.
