wheels and suspension

ive just bought a set of 14" x 8" schmidt th line wheels and im gunna run them on 185/55/14. also got a set of FK highsport coilovers. how much should i lower it by? im thinking 60mm all round.
any suggestions?

You'll EASILY get away with 60mm all round with 14". I've just done 50mm(ish) with 15" x 8" wheels. You'll probably be able to go a bit lower too with that size wheel (to take up the extra arch space), just check if it scrubs on full lock before you give it too much stick

cheers mate. do u think ive chosen a good set of wheels? im only asling this coz ive just got rid of mu mk2 golf 1.9 8v and i had that rolling on 15" porsche teledial rims and lowered 80mm. the porsche teledial rims are on ebay atm, hoping for £600.
