hi 9n POlO owners!! how r u all? im new to this site so please be nice:D..........i currently own a 2002 polo fsi......the ride is ok i guess for my first car, but i have been experiencin some problem that really annoys me....
first of all.....the temperature system on the car is totally mucked up.......eg....if i turn the whole thing off, air still blows out.....or when i turn it cold, hot air comes out......
the anti roll bar sleeve is broken on the left hand side, so whenever i go over a bump it makes a "KLONK KLONK" noise..........to fix this problem will be £150........but my mechanic says its not dangerous to the car......so i guess i have to save up money.......
the fuel consumption has been rather nice to me in the past few months...........last time i filled up was £30 and i got 300 miles out of it.......so i achieved around 50mpg.........one thing i hate bout the car is that it has not trip computer on it......so i dont really kno what im really achievin when im drivin........
in november i got my first mod on the car.........a set of BK RACING alloys......its 15inchs but it looks great......all my mates are tellin me to slam the car down, but coilovers are jst too expensive........
ive got some pics to share with u all

From one FSI owner to another, welcome!
Cars looking good, what other mods do you have planned?
I get the same faults as you occasionally but they tend to sort themselves out after a while. The fuel consumption is good, you just have to drive like a granny to get it! Are you running higher octane fuel or normal 95 RON?
Cheers,
Gary.

welcome to the forum bud!
u don't have to get coilovers but they are worth saving up for!! i'm pretty sure u can get 60mm drop spring/damper kits for a decent price!
the exhaust shouldn't cost too much to buy and fit and, depending on where u go, the colour coding may cost ya a bit but u want it done properly so don't be put off by high prices!! just make sure u see some of their work first!!

hi there dan diesel........
jst wonderin, do u kno rougly how much it costs to spray the front lip?
60mm drop seems to low....i dont want the ride to be that hard.....
im thinkin around 40-50 drop
should be lookin good jst below the arches....
cheersssssssssss

nah not sure really on the spraying of the splitter, would have thought it could be done for £50- £100 maybe?
to get the wheels just below the arches, u will need 60mm or more!
if u get coilovers with adjustable dampers, then u can set the softness/hardness of the suspension that u want!

hmmmmmmmmmmm............coilovers will cost in the region of £400! £400 jst to lower ur car? bit expensive .............i rather spend that £400 on other mods.......
but then again, im thinkin if its worth moddin, since its only a 1.4.........
the money spent on modifyin the car cud be saved up for my next project........
hmmmmmmmmmmmm
hard decisions.........
but anyways....jst got some good michelien tyres on...........costo are takin off 25% per set..........so cost me £145 in total!!!!!!!......
was really happy.......
