Tail Light Bulb Question - Standard Clusters

Hi folks.

Has anyone used 10w bulbs for the rear lights instead of what I believe to be standard 5w? I ask because I have a large stock of 10w bulbs and have rune out of 5s. Surely they wouldn't look too much like brake lights - would they? I mean those are 21w and surely much brighter. And with the same thing in mind- if the lenses etc can handle the heat from 21w, surely the tails would be OK with 10w?

Of course the other factor would have to be the wiring. Can anyone confirm if the harness & fusing would be OK with the higher load?

Many thanks,

Did you ever find out about this?

Haha one of my tail lights have blown and I wanted to put my standard headlight in there instead and replace my headlights with xenon bulbs
Would have been a nice bright red beam from the tail lights if I did

Can anyone tell me which bulb will fit for the 6N?

Just need a replacement tail light (normal rear lights when headlights are on)
