Brake judder after new discs and pads, help please people!

Ok, bought my GTi and had a bit of a judder through the pedal and steering wheel..plot thickens. Replaced the discs and pads with EBC in Jan, fine for a while then the judder comes back a few hundred miles in (after bedding in). Bled the whole brake system and replaced with new fluid after rebuilding both front calipers today, still judders! Hub cant be bent, just wouldnt happen and the bearings are in good condition.. no noise, movement etc.

In my gti, if I do an emergency stop the ABS kicks in on the front right and at the same time the car pulls to the right. This says to me that the right calliper is applying more force to the disc .. OR the left calliper is not applying normal force to the disc as I believe the warp/fault is on the front left ( Can sometimes hear a squeak per revolution of the disc come from the front left, as if it is warped. Hopefully makes sense! I live in a house full of motorsport engineering students and its got us baffled! So I cant put on new discs and pads until I find what has warped one (if they are indeed warped).

If anyone has had this problem I would love to know if you got it sorted and what the cause of the judder was. Failing that any advice for what to check next would be greatly appreciated from anyone. I may drive it into the scrappy next time I see one if I cant find a fix soon!

Does the judder only happen when you brake?

yep, only when braking.. oh and worsens sometimes if the steering wheel is at an angle when braking, cornering and braking.

Going into uni tomorrow and while there will whip off the wheel, calliper and disc and test with a DTI to see if it is true to the upright. I hope it is not, which would comfirm 100% that the hub is at fault. If not, the search continues.

Will update with results!

ok just been in to check the disc and hub for travel. The disc travels 0.08mm and the hub travels 0.02mm. So the hub is at fault. Going to vw now to buy a new hub and bearing. Hopefully cure it for good!
