Gearbox Query

Hi, I have managed to rip out a chunk from my gearbox, and so need a new one! I have no idea about where to get a second-hand one, and dont really want to buy a new one. Could anyone point me in the right direction please? Also i was considering the option of replacing this gearbox with that from a lupo gti, which has a 6-speed transmission... is this possible?

Firstly, I'd suggest reading this thread here:

Secondly, in short a Lupo GTi 6-speed box is not a direct fit, and is not really an economically viable option.

Thanks, thought the lupo would have been a nice alternative option, but guess thats out of the question. I have recieved quotes for £500 for a second hand gearbox, and that doesnt include installation! does that sound about right?
