had a pipercross induction fitted but at the garage changed it temporarily for a universal 1, therefore having to seperate the breather filter. Smoke comes out the breather filter which is meant to happen as garages told me. took it for diagnosis which showed '00059 speed signal missing'. That garage made my car worse by fiddling round so I didn't pay up. Fanx to him the cars worse.
Any point checking the cam sensor which gives signals back to the spark plugs?

yea get that sensor sorted man, ive just had the same problem with my corsa, i changed the starter, coil, coil pack, plugs an still wudnt start, it just starts on the bump then cuts out an if it does run it runs soo bad, now the mechanic has did everything an hes well stumped on wot it cud be, the machine is sayin no fault which aint good, so hes tryin 2 geta crankshaft sensor 2 see if its that, maybe u shud give that ago, worth a shot....

universal induction aint gonna help most of the time they will choke the car therfore causing it to run lean injecting more fuel than it really needs so id mabe try fitting a standard one for a while to see if it helps

I'v had enough and spent too much $$$ and time so i'm taking it to VW to atleast diagnos it and give me a reason. I knew universal inductions don't work but had to fit it just to see if there were any differences. Been looking around like mad for a standard air filter closure but no hope yet.
I atleast get 240miles out of a a full tank of gas but on this full ank i've only managed 170 so something relating to the fuel is playing about.
