GTAIV Trailer Released
GTAIV Trailer Released
I've been trying to get on the IV website all last night, but it wasn't having it due to the sheer amount of people trying to view the trailer.
The trailer is on the GTA IV website here.
The graphics look amazing, and rumours have been going round that it's going to be set in Liberty City. I'm not sure it will be, looks a lot like New York to me. I am really looking forward to getting this
What do you guys think?

Yeah I saw it after about an hour of trying last night. It looks stunning, I know the graphics look good but nowdays they are never as good in game as in the trailers. I like the idea of playing as a Russian, or whichever eastern european country he is from. I hope this game has online play, as the PS3 and the xbox360 are the perfect platform for this to be released on. At the moment the main game I play online is Saints Row, but if GTA4 has online capabilities it will be great.

Some more information from GameInformer magazine in the US:
- The main character's name is Niko Bellic. Apparently he is either Croatian or Serbian.
- Multiplayer is confirmed, but it's not like an MMO.
- You can use a cellphone to actually call contacts. It also has a phonebook, organiser, messages, and even a camera!
- There are no planes. Rockstar said they would be entirely useless in the game.
- The story will branch out in multiple ways depending on whom you choose to 'hang out' with.
- The game's time frame is around 2007.
- Police are more unforgiving than ever, their advanced AI is improved.
- The soundtrack is totally revamped focusing more on moods than just popular songs.
- You can call female friends for a date.
- No more annoying loading times, even with the interiors of buildings.
I guess it is Liberty, as they did revamp the city in GTA3, and they can do it again

It could be new york and tat would fit in with not having planes in the game because rockstar know if they put the codes for planes in it wouldnt be long before hackers developed mods so you could crash them. I think rockstar learnt with the "hot coffee" mod that if they dont want something to happen in a game then dont put half of it in then leave it, they can do without bad publicity.
