driveshaft removal problems

Hello all.
I'm removing the gearbox to fit a new clutch and have become stuck. I can't undo the inner driveshaft bolts. Every time I apply force the driveshaft rotates. All the other disconnections have been made including the gear lever linkage and the car is in neutral. I'm obviously missing a trick here, so does anyone know what it is. Any help in getting these bolts off so I can separate the driveshafts and 'box will be warmly welcomed!
Thanks,
edpolo.

Well I've got the inner driveshaft bolts out but now the inner driveshafts will not come away from the gearbox. I've unbolted the lower ball joint and tried pulling the assembly outwards but no luck. Any ideas??? I don't want to be beaten at the last stage of gearbox removal!
