Just Brought A Polo GTI *UPDATE*

After owning a 6n2 1.4 E and a 1.4 16V SE Polo, I have now "upgraded" to a Polo GTI.

Managed to talk the guy down to £3300, its a W reg the car has 50k miles FVWSH, 3dr silver, climate control, already has a twin pipe exhaust, MOT but no tax, 15" BBS alloys which need refurbishing. Need some "light" body work doing to the car, like left hand passenger door and rear quarter need some dressing up, other than that it drives lovely and I am now a proud owner of a Polo GTI.

Been to the bodyshop right after I brought it to get a quote and he quoted me an excellent price for front splitter colour coding, smoothed front bumper, smoothed rear bumper, removing these rather large side skirts already on the car and giving the car a full respray and touching up any dents I haven't noticed as yet. Should be going in the end of this month to do all that work.

Only other thing I have noticed is, the drivers side electric window switch that winds the passenger window down doesn't work to wind the window back up, also when pressed on the passenger side to halfway down, it strangely goes up by itself, is this common? What would I need to fix these problems and how much roughly would this cost?

Got alot of mods to do, but hopefully should be looking in excellent condition by the end of next month.

Let the fun begin.

To do all the work I listed above, £925 my mate normally gets his car done by this bodyshop so I know he'll do a good job.

You can't really see the body work bits that need doing from the pictures, but you can see the front splitter has been completely ripped off somehow.

Yeah I agree ^^ why would you stick them on the GTi? Actually thinking about it why would you stick them on any car?
